Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans by three wickets in the sixth season match of Pakistan Super League at National Cricket Stadium Karachi on Sunday. The Sultans gave Islamabad United a 151-run target to win, which they completed in 19 overs. Lewis Gregory remained unbeaten on 49.At the beginning of the match, the batsmen of Islamabad United were not allowed to stand on their feet by the Sultans and the bowlers piled them up one by one. Shahid Afridi took three wickets, Khushdal Shah one, Carlos two and Mohammad Omar one. However, in the last overs of the match, Islamabad backed down and Gregory’s brilliant innings ensured the victory.Earlier, Multan Sultans scored 150 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and gave Islamabad United a target of 151 runs to win. Shahid Afridi was dismissed without scoring a run.
