Peshawar Zalmi beat Quetta by three wickets

The eighth match of Pakistan Super League season six was played today between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators at National Stadium Karachi.
Peshawar Zalmai defeated Quetta Gladiators by three wickets after a thrilling contest.
Peshawar Zalmi achieved the target of 199 runs in 19.3 overs at a loss of seven wickets. Haider Ali scored a half-century for Zalmai while Rutherford played a winning innings of 36 off 18 balls.
Captain Wahab Riaz scored 20 runs and was bowled by Hasnain. Shoaib Malik scored 34 runs and was LBW on the cutting ball.
Haider Ali made a brilliant half-century off 29 balls and was caught by Dale Steyn.

When Peshawar Zalmi started his innings, Kamran Akmal scored just three runs and was bowled by Usman Shinwari.
Tom Cadmore also managed to score only four runs when he was dismissed by Dale Steyn.

Earlier, Quetta Gladiators scored 198 for seven in 20 overs thanks to brilliant batting by Sarfraz Ahmed and Azam Khan.
When Quetta Gladiators started their innings, opener Cameron Delport scored just two runs and got out on the ball of Mohammad Imran.
Saeem Ayub teamed up with Faf du Plessis to add to the score but was run out for 21.
Faf du Plessis and Sarfraz Ahmed then formed a 40-run partnership, after which Faf du Plessis scored 37 and was caught by Wahab Riaz.After which Sarfraz Ahmed and Azam Khan formed a partnership of 105 runs for the fourth wicket. Sarfraz Ahmed completed his 50 runs off 31 balls while batting brilliantly. He scored 81 runs and got out on the ball of Wahab Riaz.
Azam Khan unfortunately could not complete his half century and scored 47 runs in the 20th over and was caught by Saqib Mahmood.
Remember that Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Quetta Gladiators have lost their last two matches while Peshawar Zalmi won their second match after a thrilling match against Multan Sultans.
Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are also ranked fifth and sixth respectively in the points table.In today’s crucial match, Quetta Gladiators do not have the services of their star player Chris Gayle. Chris Gayle has returned home to be part of the West Indies squad for the tour of Sri Lanka.
The Quetta Gladiators have made significant changes to their squad for today’s match, including Cameron Delport, Faf du Plessis and Dale Steyn.
The squad of both the teams for today’s match consists of these players.

Peshawar Zalmi: Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Tom Cadmore, Shoaib Malik, Haider Ali, Sharfeen Rutherford, Wahab Riaz (captain), Saqib Mahmood, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Irfan.

Quetta Gladiators: Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Faf du Plessis, Cameron Delport, Azam Khan, Saeem Ayub, Ben Cutting, Muhammad Nawaz, Zahid Mahmood, Dale Steyn, Muhammad Hasnain, Usman Shinwari.

In an earlier match on Thursday, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by seven wickets. Multan Sultans got the target of 158 thanks to the excellent batting of Mohammad Rizwan and Sohaib Maqsood.
Muhammad Rizwan scored 76 and Sohaib Maqsood 63 runs.
