In the 11th match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars defeated Karachi Kings by six wickets in a thrilling match on Sunday.
In pursuit of the 187-run target, Qalandars’ Fakhr Zaman and Ben Dunk played the winning innings.
Fakhr Zaman completed his half-century off 37 balls and was dismissed for 83 runs. Ben Ding remained unbeaten on 57 runs. Qalandars ‘David Visay scored 31 runs off just 9 balls and played an important role in Qalandars’ victory.
When Qalandars captain Sohail Khan came for the opening, Mohammad Aamir had already caught him in the over. Danley came after him but Muhammad Amir also targeted him.
Muhammad Hafeez also scored 15 runs and was caught by Waqas Maqsood.
Earlier, Karachi Kings scored 186 runs while playing first at the invitation of Lahore.Kings captain Babar Azam was bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi. While Joe Clark and Ingram fell victim to Ahmed Daniel.
Sharjeel Khan batted aggressively and scored 64 off 39 balls but was caught by David Weiss.
Muhammad Nabi showed excellent batting and he scored 57 off 35 balls and became the target of Haris Rauf. He was followed by Emad Wasim but he returned to zero.
Similarly, Daniel made 27 and was run out on the ball of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Waqas Maqsood also could not stay on the wicket for long and was bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi.Earlier, Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bat first.

Keep in mind that so far only the team fielding after winning the toss has succeeded while the teams scoring big while batting first have also failed to defend the target.

Former PSL champion Quetta Gladiators have shown the most disappointing performance so far in the event.
Under Sarfraz Ahmed’s captaincy, the Quetta team has played three matches and lost all three. Thus, Quetta Gladiators have no points in the points table and this team is at the sixth or last position in the points table.
