Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs in the 12th match of IPL 2021 due to a united game. CSK scored 188 runs on nine wickets due to the collective performance of the first batsmen. Then Rajasthan Royals were stopped for 143 runs for nine wickets. Moeen Ali took the most three wickets from CSK. This is Chennai’s second win in three matches, while Rajasthan has lost the second in three matches. With this win, CSK has made it to the second place in the points table. All the players contributed to this match for CSK. The highest score for him in batting was 33 runs, which was scored by Faf du Plessi. In bowling, all the bowlers of CSK, except Deepak Chahar, got wickets.
Chasing 188 runs, Rajasthan made an impressive start. Jose Butler and Manan Vohra hit big shots in the first three overs. But Vohra soon fell victim to Sam Karan. He scored 14 runs in 11 balls. Captain Sanju Samson failed today. After playing five balls, he was able to score one run and became the second victim of Sam Karan. Butler, along with Shivam Dubey, took over the team after falling two wickets for 45 runs. He hit a snag from one end and lowered the pressure of CSK. He took Deepak Chahar and Ravindra Jadeja on special target. They were moving fast towards Fifty but a brilliant ball from Jadeja scattered their stumps. Butler smashed 49 off 35 balls with five fours and two sixes.
Rajasthan’s 5 wickets fell in 8 runs;
The batting of Rajasthan collapsed as soon as Jos Buttler left. Shivam Dubey (17), David Miller (2), Ryan Parag (3) and Chris Maurice (0) were all out within eight runs. With this, Rajasthan’s score was reduced to 87 for three from 95 runs for seven runs. Jadeja and Moin Ali took this wicket together. At one time Moeen took three wickets for one run. Then Rahul Teotia and Jaydev Unadkat saved the team from an embarrassing defeat by adding 43 runs for the eighth wicket. Tewatia scored 20 runs off 15 balls with two sixes. He succumbed to Dwayne Bravo. Unadkat became the victim of Shardul Thakur by scoring 24 runs off 17 balls with two fours and a six.
How was Chennai’s batting situation;
Earlier, the team of Superkings was in a good position for 120 runs for three wickets in 13 overs at one time, but the team could add 68 runs in the last seven overs. Samson decided to bowl first after winning the toss and Rituraj Gaikwad was fortunate on fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat’s first ball of the innings when Rahul Tewatiya caught his slip in the slip. Du Plessi hit the first six of the innings on Sakaria in the second over. Gaikwad, however, could not take advantage of life-giving and caught the ball off Mustafizur Rahman in the air and caught Shivam Dubey at mid-off.

Raina also played straight into the hands of Maurice in the same over of Sakariya, which led to the team’s score of 125 for five wickets. He scored 18 runs in 15 balls. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also became the victim of Sakariya after scoring 18 off 17 balls while Maurice sent Jadeja (08) to the pavilion. Bravo scored 20 runs in eight balls and brought the team score to around 190.
